At no point in it’s life did the SJ use an Aisin . Ever.
Borg-Warner T90J, AMC 4 speed, GM THM400, Chrysler TF727, Chrysler A999 (TF727 revision.) Because the SJ never used the 4.0, only the 4.2.
These have an Aisin (and just ate a solenoid.)
